Cake in the City is a family owned business with a familiar history.  Like many matriarchs, our mother used time in the kitchen and her passion for baking as an avenue to pass down love, wisdom, family traditions, and recipes to her four daughters and their families.  We especially love her cookies recipes which are featured on our menu!  Our eldest sister inherited the largest portion of our mother's passion and went on to run a successful cake decorating business that flourished for twenty years.  While the rest of us "dibble and dabble" in baking we chose careers in Hospitality Management, Finance, and Education.  In early 2010 we decided to combine our individual talents into a family business birthing Cake in the City...the next best thing.
